We are seeking a highly skilled Data and Automation Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will leverage Microsoft Power Platform for creating innovative solutions and Power BI for data analytics. This role demands a deep understanding of both platforms, along with a passion for driving data-driven decision-making and automation.
What you’ll do
Develop and Implement Solutions:
Design, develop, and deploy custom solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power Virtual Agents). Automate business processes and workflows to increase efficiency and reduce manual efforts.
Data Analytics and Reporting:
Utilize Power BI to create comprehensive, insightful, and actionable data analytics reports. Transform raw data into meaningful insights to support business decision-making.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and deliver training on new tools and systems.
Maintain and Optimize:
Ensure the reliability and performance of deployed solutions. Continuously monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize existing Power Platform and Power BI applications.
Compliance and Best Practices:
Adhere to AstraZeneca’s data privacy and security standards. Ensure solutions comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Promote and implement best practices in data management and solution development.

Applicants should possess the following qualifications to go through initial screening:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field Experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry is preferred Proven experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps (Canvas and Model Driven), Power Automate) Extensive experience in Power BI for data analytics and reporting Strong understanding of data structures, data modeling, and data visualization techniques Familiarity with SharePoint Online and other Microsoft technologies Knowledge of SQL, DAX, and other data manipulation languages.

Hi, I'm Hamza, and I'm a tech, innovation architect here AstraZeneca. My tail role consists of scouting and exploring, researching, emerging technologies at AstraZeneca. These could be topics such as blockchain, artificial intelligence, and virtual reality. Some days consist of a lot of research and looking into these technologies and having meetings with external vendors to see how they can add value, how they can benefit as other days, consist of making videos for these topics and explaining them to people in other areas of the business, is a great, great role to enjoy. And if you wanna have a look at the latest state of the technology, and see how we can implement it within AstraZeneca. The thing I enjoy the most of this, rotation and this shop is the fact that we look at six or seven different technologies, and only one or two, go through the proof of concept and be implemented at the final stage AstraZeneca.
