Responsibilities:
Deploy, manage, and maintain enterprise-scale DAM solutions, with focus on Guardium and Imperva platforms
Configure and optimize security policies across multiple database platforms
Conduct real-time monitoring and analysis of database activity patterns for security threats
Implement and maintain DAM policies, rules, and real-time alert mechanisms
Perform regular security assessments and compliance audits
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for DAM processes and procedures
Monitor and optimize DAM solution performance
Generate and analyze security reports for stakeholders
Lead incident response for database security events
Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies
Ensure compliance with relevant standards (PCI DSS, HIPAA, SOX, GDPR)
Integrate DAM solutions with existing SIEM and security tools
Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing
Maintain security metrics and KPIs
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DBA, Security, Compliance)
Present security metrics and insights to management
Lead DAM-related projects and initiatives
Participate in on-call rotation for security incidents
Make recommendations for security architecture improvements
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in IT Security, 5+ years of specific experience in Database Activity Monitoring (DAM)
Proven expertise with Guardium and Imperva DAM solutions
Strong understanding of major database platforms (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and Proficiency in SQL and database security concepts
Experience with security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS), and Knowledge of compliance requirements (PCI DSS, HIPAA, SOX, GDPR)
Scripting abilities in Python, Perl, or Shell
Experience with SIEM integration and security tools
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, and Relevant security certifications (CISSP, CISM, or equivalent)
Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities, Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, and Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong documentation skills
Master's degree in related field, Experience with cloud database security, Background in database administration, and Knowledge of data privacy regulations are preferred
