1. Purpose of the Consultancy This consultancy aims to support the Government of Egypt (GOE) in its efforts to achieve progress towards Universal Health Coverage (UHC) through strengthening its health system. As part of WHO support to UHI implementation in Egypt, WHO will contract with a national consultant with public health experience in the context of Universal Health Insurance (UHI) system. The consultant will be responsible for the overall completion of the work and expected deliverables. The following section show specific tasks, expected duration and the implementing entity.
4. Specific requirements i. Qualifications required : ii. Experience required: § At least 2 years of experience required in health facility coordination at national or international level. § Experience in capacity building and demonstrate knowledge of health sector activities. § Very good knowledge of health system strategies and policies relevant to the objective of extending health coverage with quality affordable health services. § Knowledge of WHO mandate and goals or experience in UN Organizations, World Bank, international institutions or NGOs is considered an asset. iii. Skills / Technical skills and knowledge: § Analytical skills in Health Systems and Health Care Management. § Very good experience in MS office and statistical analysis packages. § Knowledge in drafting and producing effective policy relevant information products, reports briefs, discussion papers, etc. § Very good communication skills in a credible and effective manner, time management and teamwork. iv. Language requirements: If your candidature is retained for interview, you will be required to provide, in advance, a scanned copy of the degree(s)/diploma(s)/certificate(s) required for this position. The Consultant shall be solely responsible for withholding and paying any taxes, duties, social security contributions and any other contributions which are applicable to the Consultant in each location/jurisdiction in which the work hereunder is performed, and the Consultant shall not be entitled to any reimbursement thereof by WHO.
