Job Summary:
Senior estimator who can manage a full proposal as a construction proposal manager
Main Duties:
The Construction Proposal Manager is the in-house project lead for coordinating all construction-related matters during the project bid phase.
They coordinate all construction management activities and the interfaces with Engineering and Procurement. During the construction bid phase, the Construction Proposal Manager is the main contact for all construction-relevant matters.
Responsibility:
Leadership and management of construction bid activities, incl. resource requirements, scope, schedule and sequence of bid/project activities Construction execution plan, based on identified bid requirements Completeness of tender documents Overall construction cost estimate Bid documentation with respect to construction
Additional skills/training/further qualifications:
Represent Construction within the proposal team and in relation to the client and potential subcontractors Analyze and evaluate the client ITB with respect to construction Coordinate the bid activities within Construction, i.e. organize the work, communicate, and control the work Coordinate interfaces to Sales, Project Management, Engineering and Procurement Develop the construction execution plan Develop scope descriptions for inquiries Develop the preliminary subcontracting plan, incl. pre-selection of potential subcontractors Prepare the Site Organization Chart and, from it, the Project Personnel Engagement Plan Evaluate subcontractor proposals in relation to resource adequacy (manpower and machinery), and provide technical clarifications Ensure the correctness and timely delivery of construction estimates, construction summaries and cover letters Compile and distribute the construction deliverables required to create the bid Prepare the division of responsibilities list/responsibility matrix Hand over to the project team, if the bid becomes a project
Your profile
Bachelor’s degree in engineering
Excellent command in spoken and written English
Site experience and project management certificates will be highly considered.
