Civil Design Engineer

As Civil Design Engineer you will be responsible for developing and managing civil engineering plans for HV and EHV substations, ensuring adherence to industry standards and project specifications.
Job location: Cairo - Egypt.

The position involves:

• Develop and design civil engineering plans for HV and EHV substation projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Collaborate with electrical engineers and project managers to integrate civil design with overall project requirements.
• Conduct site surveys and assessments to gather necessary data for design and construction planning.
• Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and construction documents using CAD software.
• Analyze and calculate load capacities, material strengths, and other structural elements to ensure stability and safety.
• Review and approve contractor submissions, shop drawings, and material specifications for compliance with design requirements.
• Supervise and provide technical guidance to construction teams during the execution of civil works.
• Ensure that all design and construction activities adhere to project schedules and budgets.
• Identify and resolve design issues and construction problems promptly to minimize project delays and costs.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, standards, and best practices in civil engineering for substations.

We are Looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in civil design engineering for HV and EHV substation projects.
• Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations for HV and EHV substations.
• Experience in structural analysis and design of substation components.
• Ability to conduct site inspections and assessments.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
