The Opportunity
This position works out of our Egypt affiliate in the Established Pharmaceutical Division where we are committed to bringing the benefits of our trusted medicines to more people in the world’s fastest-growing countries. Our broad portfolio of high-quality and differentiated branded generic medicines reaches across multiple therapeutic areas including gastroenterology, women's health, cardiometabolic, pain management/central nervous system, and respiratory.
What You’ll Do:
• Distributor Network Management: Managing relationships with distributors and ensuring effective communication and coordination between the company and its distributors. This involves selecting and evaluating distributors, negotiating contracts, and establishing performance metrics and targets.
• Sales and Revenue Generation: Collaborating with distributors to develop sales strategies, promotional activities, and pricing structures to maximize revenue and achieve sales targets. Monitoring sales performance, analyzing market trends, and identifying opportunities for business growth.
• Inventory and Supply Chain Management: Overseeing inventory levels and ensuring timely availability of products to meet customer demands. Collaborating with distributors and internal stakeholders to optimize supply chain operations, minimize stockouts, and manage inventory costs.
• Training and Support: Providing training and support to distributors on product knowledge, sales techniques, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Conducting regular training sessions, workshops, and product demonstrations to enhance distributor capabilities and ensure consistent product messaging.
• Performance Analysis and Reporting: Monitoring distributor performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and sales targets. Analyzing sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to identify areas for improvement and formulate actionable insights. Preparing reports and presenting findings to senior management.
• Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensuring distributors adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines. Collaborating with internal teams to conduct audits, inspections, and evaluations to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.
• Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including distributors, healthcare professionals, and regulatory authorities. Resolving escalated customer issues, addressing complaints, and maintaining customer satisfaction.
• Market Research and Strategy: Conducting market research to identify new market opportunities, emerging trends, and competitive landscapes. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective marketing and sales strategies to drive business growth.
• Forecasting and Demand Planning: Collaborating with distributors and internal teams to forecast product demand, analyze market trends, and develop accurate demand plans. Optimizing inventory levels, production schedules, and distribution strategies based on demand forecasts.
• Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency improvement within the distributor operations function. Implementing best practices, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and performance metrics to enhance operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
• Advanced Degree in Science, business studies, or related areas.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in managing distribution and Trade Experience.
• Comprehensive industry knowledge acquired in a multinational company.
• Arabic and English fluency is essential.
• Computer literate
• Tender Management experience.
• Demonstrated ability to influence relationships and leverage knowledge internally across a matrix structure to optimize opportunities with customers and achieve shared goals.
• Ability to influence internally at all levels without line management authority.
• Ability to influence external customers at all levels.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ensure business continuity.
• Success in particular assigned projects.
Preferred Qualifications
• Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Health, Health Economics, or Health policy.
