Business Intelligence Analyst



Job Description



As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will be Responsible for transforming raw data into actionable insights that enable critical decision making and leads to Positive Customer Experience, Business growth and efficiency improvement.
Your Key Responsibilities will include:
Data Collection and Preparation:

Gathering data from various sources (CRM, databases, spreadsheets etc...)


Cleaning and validating data to ensure accuracy and consistency Transforming data into suitable formats for analysis

Data Analysis, Visualization & Reporting:



Employing descriptive analytical techniques to uncover patterns, historical trends & correlations within the Data.
Performing exploratory data analysis (EDA) to understand data characteristics using MS Excel & Power Query.
Data visualization using MS Excel Dashboards, Power BI & MS PowerPoint. You should be adept at storytelling by turning complex data into meaningful & actionable insights & recommendations that is easily understood by Clients & Higher Management.
Identifying opportunities for improvement and cost reduction.
Creating reports & dashboards according business requirements.
Sharing reports on predefined timelines based on business needs.

Stakeholder Management:



Collaborating with Clients & Operations Management to understand their data needs.
Building strong relationships with internal & external stakeholders and acting as an enabler for business decision making.

Problem Solving & Critical Thinking:



Thinking creatively & Out of the Box to find innovative solutions to existing and potential Business Problems.
Effectively transform Ideas in to actionable Business insights.

Soft Skills:
Excellent Verbal & Written Communication skills: You will be directly interacting with the Clients and Senior Management and should be able to effective articulate with confidence & establish strong trust.
Teamwork: Should be able to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Critical Thinking & Decision Making: You should be able to think through complex business problems for identifying root causes by paying attention to details.
Time Management: Should be ready to work under tight deadlines without compromising on data accuracy & precision.

Technical Skills



Essential Skills:
MS Excel: Should be very strong in Advanced Excel tools including Pivoting & Charting, Formulae & Functions, Data Validation, conditional formatting etc..
Power Query: Should have excellent working knowledge in Power Query usage including data transformation (Data cleaning, Data types, pivoting and unpivoting, Data aggregation, Append, Merge etc..), M language & DAX
Power BI: Should have good knowledge of importing, transforming, modelling and visualizing data with interactive reports using Power BI
MS PowerPoint: Should be effective in structuring presentations to build a compelling narrative from the analysis insights while making it visually appealing and professional
Desired Skills:
Knowledge of SQL / Python / Power Automate / Excel Automation using VBA are added advantages.
