we design structures such as bridges, high-rise design, precast concrete engineering and post-tensioning design. The firm's core work is structural engineering; however, is increasingly holistic at its approach to buildings and it has divisions in MEP, Geotechnical and emerging construction technology such as 3D printing of concrete, technology and 3D laser scanning.
We are a tech startup that is being incubated in the technology lab of and we employ technology to empower and eventually transform engineering.
VAES’s mission is to reduce the amount of raw materials we design in our buildings and bridges by using optimization algorithms and machine learning.
VAES consists of a team of software developers, civil engineers, machine learning experts, architects and graphic designers that builds tools that engineers can use to design and manufacture the next generation of cities.
Role Summary
You will join VAES where you will use your back-end programming skills and advanced algorithms to create the tools that help deliver on Value Adding Engineering! You will be working with our full team of ML experts, Structural, Mechanical and Electrical engineers to establish a full understanding of the user needs.
Responsibilities
+ Design and Build the back-end for Structural Engineering applications.
+ work with team members on optimal coding best practices including unit tests, etc.
+ Aid the core engineering team to design and develop tools to optimize building elements.
+ Work closely with stakeholders to refine your software.
+ You will be responsible to produce scalable software solutions.
+ You will be part of a cross-functional team that is responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment.
+ You should also be a team player with a knack for visual design and utility.

Requirements
+ BSc in Computer Science or Engineering or related discipline.
+ Expertise with scalable software development techniques.
+ Software architecture and design skills.
+ Technical skills: Python, C#, C++ or Node JS.
+ Strong knowledge and experience working with Data Structure, Algorithms, Optimization
, RESTFUL API.
+ An analytical mind.
+ Great attention to detail.
+ To have worked in large professional teams and have thought to strike out on your own.
