Automation Manager
JOB SUMMARY:
This role is responsible for:
The Automation Manager has total responsibility for the entire installed base of control, automation and related electrical systems at CPS Egypt Plant that integrates the manufacturing equipment with our production and warehouse management systems, ensuring maximum equipment availability and reliability to meet production schedules.
This also entails data systems are being updated to ensure accurate financial, planning, quality control and compliance, obsolescence management as well as introducing latest state-of-art technologies.
KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Departmental Goals:
To ensure strict compliance of company policies and procedures. To provide efficient attractive and easy working environment to people.
Primary Responsibilities:
To performance manage the day-to-day automation team performance, ensuring on time response and resolutions for all aspects of work. To performance manage day to day automation equipment availability and manage the challenges, with typically several short term corrective action plans per week. To own and execute a long-term rolling obsolescence systems replacement plan (every year until EOL) To deliver on local yearly and longer-term projects (OEE, System replication, new line integration(s) etc.) To deliver on CPS led project initiatives for cross site standardization – Unified name space, S4 Hanna, MII integration etc… To provide cross functional support (MTC team, Production & Quality) and troubleshooting as needed, through trending, alarm history, trails, root cause identification, corrective & preventive actions. Lead/Participate with project team to ensure the new installation is functioning & designed as per our standard. Lead projects shutdown with planning & plant functions ensuring smooth execution. Design systems for new, or modify existing, automated machinery to automate manufacturing processes. Design and specify some electrical components for custom automated industrial machines
To improve continuously efficiency of automation operations in terms of cost and output. To keep all facility in good working conditions within energy consumption and environmental standards. Effective management of available resource to deliver time effective services up to end user. Maintaining good relations with all suppliers, vendors and facilitating them according to the company policy
RELATED JOB REQUIREMENTS/ QUALIFICATIONS:
5+ years of Significant experience of advanced technical engineering in a high volume, automated manufacturing environment.
Ability to self-direct on projects and tasks.
Demonstrated capability to lead and manage high caliber technical professionals. Commercially aware of both business and operational dynamics. Demonstrated experience in the use of PLC systems, C#,SAP, Scada. Experience in development of metrics & reports. Expert on control systems and application software required. Self-driven, adaptable and proactive. Effective communication skills and interpersonal skills Excellent analytical skills to determine key insight, observations, and recommendations. Problem solving skills. Experience of change management in a team-based environment.
