Assembly Line Quality Engineer

Responsibilities and Duties

• Conduct inspections and tests at various stages of production to verify adherence to quality standards and identify defects or non-conformities against standards defined by the design team.
• Audit fabrication, assembly, and testing.
• Responsible for accurate documentation during the assembly process.
• Ensure all PPAP requirements are met --Production Part Approval Process.
• Develop and implement quality control processes and procedures to ensure product quality and compliance with industry standards.
• Manage the tasks, priorities, and output of engineers and technicians including process, data collection, reporting of assembly quality and recommendations for improvement.
• Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to establish quality requirements and specifications for new products and processes.
• Analyze quality data and trends and provide actionable recommendations for process improvements and corrective actions.
• Lead or participate in root cause analysis investigations to identify the underlying causes of quality issues and implement preventive measures.
• Develop and maintain documentation, including quality manuals, procedures, work instructions, and inspection reports.
• Train and educate employees on quality control processes, standards, and best practices.
• Conduct supplier quality audits and work closely with suppliers to resolve quality-related issues and improve supplier performance.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to address quality concerns, implement corrective actions, and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to quality management systems.
