Role Purpose
This role is for a software developer (Android) working in a delivery team following an Agile working model to implement and deliver Android mobile applications based on business and technical requirements. Key responsibilities include developing advanced Android applications, performing unit testing, troubleshooting and fixing bugs, and documenting written code
What you’ll do
- Design, develop, and maintain secure Android applications, implementing encryption, secure API calls, and compliance with security standards.
- Continuously optimize app performance, focusing on memory efficiency, battery usage, and reducing app load times.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including backend engineers and QA, to deliver polished and reliable features.
- Write and maintain robust unit tests, UI tests, and integration tests to ensure app stability.
- Monitor app performance using tools like Firebase, ensuring fast issue resolution and continuous improvement.
- Stay updated with the latest Android technologies and best practices in security, performance, and architecture.
- Lead technical efforts in debugging, release management, and incorporating feedback for iterative improvement.
- Provide guidance to team members, promoting high-quality development practices and ensuring knowledge sharing.

Must have technical / professional qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 1up to 2 years of Android development experience with expertise in building secure, high-performance, and scalable applications.
- Deep knowledge of Android SDKs, Java/Kotlin, and frameworks with a focus on implementing robust security practices such as encryption, secure API communication, and OWASP guidelines.
- Proficiency in performance optimization, including memory management, battery efficiency, and improving app launch times.
- Expertise in integrating RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and third-party libraries, following design patterns like MVVM, MVP, and Clean Architecture.
- Advanced experience with tools such as Android Studio, Gradle, Jetpack libraries, and CI/CD pipelines like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
- Extensive experience in managing app store releases, analyzing metrics on Google Play Console, and handling crash report debugging.
- Strong background in mentoring developers, conducting code reviews, and leading technical discussions to improve team performance
