Description



KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES



Roles and Responsibilities
1. Prepare and test huge and complex datasets required for the various analytical projects.
2. Participate in conceptualizing, building and maintaining the data architecture for multiple large-scale analytics projects, while evaluating design and operational cost-benefit trade-offs within systems.
3. Assist in the execution of architectural plans and implementation for future data analytics storage, reporting, and modelling solutions in order to support building high-end analytical products.
4. Work closely with data technical leads, application owners, end users and third-party contacts to design, implement and test analytical datasets required for the analytical projects.
5. Work closely with Technical, Business and the various analytics teams in order to solve technical problems and identify opportunities to enhance the analytics production process.
6. Inspect operational, data or model issues across the data analytics pipeline in order to ensure providing high quality data and information to be used in the analytics production process.
7. Assist in solving challenges in data integration problems, utilizing optimal ETL patterns, frameworks, query techniques, sourcing from structured and unstructured data sources in order to solve technical problems and smooth the analytics production process.
8. Develop analytical reports, dashboards and advanced visualizations to provide the business stakeholders with the results of the analytical models.
9. Assist in developing, automating and troubleshooting the deployment of analytics models and products in order to provide multiple analytics use cases across different business domains.
10. Assist in the administration support for the department for its various analytics tools in terms of administration, upgrades, etc.
11. Participate in the execution of the proof of concept (POC) for new technologies in analytics such as Hadoop, Informatica and Dataiku…etc.

12. Follow all relevant department policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner

Day-to-day Operations



13. Follow the day-to-day operations related to own jobs in the department to ensure continuity of work

Compliance



14. Comply with all relevant CBE regulations, banking laws, AML regulations and internal CIB policies and code of conduct in order to maintain CIB’s sound legal position and mitigate any potential risks

Qualifications



QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS

Qualifications & Experience



§ Bachelor’s degree of Information Systems, Computer Science or its equivalent.
§ Analyst: 2 - 4 years’ experience in BI development, data engineering, data architecture or related fields.
§ Specialist: 0-2 years’ experience in BI development, data engineering, data architecture or related fields
§ Solid Knowledge of with PL-SQL and ETL techniques and frameworks is a must.
§ Solid Knowledge of DWH and DataLake concepts is a must.
§ Solid Knowledge of building and optimizing ‘big data’ data pipelines and architectures, as well as big data tools: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.
§ Good Knowledge of Data and Information Architecture is a plus.
