The Purpose of the Role

As a Systems Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in the design, implementation, and management of complex systems and solutions that drive innovation, safety, and efficiency across various industries. You will work within cross-functional teams on cutting-edge projects that transform the way businesses operate.
In this role, you will impact the design and architectural aspects of complex systems, which may involve hardware, software, and network components. You will ensure that the system design aligns with Honeywell's quality standards and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Collaboration with Development Teams:

• Work closely with development teams to understand application functionality and architecture.
• Provide feedback and insights from support activities to aid in continuous improvement.
• Participate in design and review meetings to represent the support perspective.

System Deployment and Integration:

• Conduct the deployment and integration of Smart Grid software applications in various environments.
• Ensure that applications are properly configured and integrated with existing systems.
• Test new releases and updates to ensure they function correctly before deployment.

Testing and Debugging:

• Diagnose and troubleshoot application problems, identifying root causes and implementing solutions for Smart Grid Applications
• Respond to reported issues during implementation and testing in a timely and efficient manner
•  Conduct integration testing and system testing.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and issues.
• Optimize application performance and ensure security compliance.

Application Monitoring and Maintenance:

• Monitor application performance and availability, using appropriate monitoring tools.

Proactively identify potential issues and take preventive measures to ensure application stability.
Compliance and Security:

• Ensure applications adhere to security policies and regulatory requirements.
• Implement security measures and conduct regular security assessments.

Address and mitigate security vulnerabilities promptly.
Performance Optimization:

• Analyze application performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
• Implement performance tuning and optimization strategies to enhance application efficiency.
• Collaborate with developers to address performance bottlenecks.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as, technology, engineering.
•  6+ years of experience in Industrial Automation & Smart Grid Applications
• Mastery of knowledge in systems integration, implementation, and troubleshooting
•  Experience providing guidance and coaching to direct/indirect reports
• Ability to work under minimal supervision
• Background in leading complex project teams

•  Desired Advanced Engineering degrees like EE (Electrical Engineering), ME (Mechanical Engineering) etc. based on job title.
• Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging technologies
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Passion for innovation and continuous learning
• Attention to detail
• Excellent problem-solving capability
