Accountant (Accounts Payable)
Job Description
Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment. Sort and distribute incoming mail. Process 3 ways P.O. matching invoices. Prioritize invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms. Process check requests. Match invoices to checks, obtain all signatures for checks, and distribute checks accordingly. Respond to all vendor inquiries. Reconcile vendor statements, research, and correct discrepancies. Assist in the monthly closing. Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices. Skills
Bachelor of Commerce (English Section is a MUST). At least 1 year of experience in a similar position. AP experience is a must. Professional user of Microsoft Office. Excellent Time Management Skills. CMA is an advantage. Excellent time management skills. ERP systems experience is an advantage.
