This will give a deep understanding of how the turbine operates and how the settings are to be manipulated.
•Develop a solid background in Turbine Governor Functional Description and Settings.
•Develop the skills of interpreting fault annunciation and how to determine if the annunciated fault can be remedied by operator action or by the assistance of instrumentation and/or maintenance personnel.
•Focus on the starting, loading and specific operator checks of the various turbine support and auxiliary systems.
•Ensure safe and reliable operation of the turbine unit.
•Recognise the effect of operation on major mechanical maintenance.
