Schindler was founded in 1874 in Lucerne, Switzerland. Today the Schindler Group is one of world’s leading providers of elevators, escalators and related services. Established in 1998, Schindler India is a wholly owned subsidiary of Schindler Holding Co.

We supply elevators, escalators and mobility technology for all market segments: residential apartment blocks, business and shopping centers, high-rise towers as well as transport infrastructure such as metro stations and airport terminals.

We have newly established Corporate Research & Development center in Pune to develop new systems and components for elevators and escalators for ensuring competitive edge, long-lasting customer benefit, as well as technology-and cost-leadership.

Furthermore, Schindler will be the first global elevator and escalator Company to set up a greenfield manufacturing facility for the production of escalators for the Indian market. The facility, located near Pune, is scheduled to go into operation in early 2014.

With sales growth double that of the industry, a rapidly burgeoning portfolio and expanding employee base each year, Schindler India is poised for a leadership position in India in the short term.
