Sheikh Abdul Kader Alfadl established Rabya in 1974, originally to carry out building construction, urban planning and landscaping works. When his son, Sheikh Mohamed Alfadl, took control of the Company, with the managerial and technical support of Dr. Samir Kreidie, he guided the company through a period of growth and prosperity, bringing it to its eminent status today.

Rabya is a member of the Alfadl Group, a conglomerate of 18 diversified companies engaged in a wide range of activities, making it one of the largest organizations in Saudi Arabia. It operates throughout the Kingdom as well as in the neighboring countries of Bahrain, Egypt, Kuwait, and Lebanon.
