Qatar Museums was founded in late 2005 with the mandate of managing the resources of all museums and to develop cultural institutions such as museums and galleries in the State of Qatar. Throughout the years, QM has acquired masterpieces and provides an effective system for collecting, protecting, preserving and interpreting historic sites, monuments and artifacts.

QM recently refreshed its strategy as it aims to influence and enhance its resource potential and core competencies in order to become a global leader in the world of museums, art and heritage.
