The first branch of Mishwar restaurants chain was opened in Al Khobar in 1993 at a time when Arab food restaurants were in their infancy and fast food chains had captured the imagination of the Arab and Saudi society in particular.

In these circumstances, one of the recent graduates decided to create a Saudi brand in the field of fast food restaurants in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and opened its first branch in Khobar in 1993.
