At GCS students are encouraged to be intellectually curious and to ask questions, knowing that this will develop their capacity to think creatively. We teach students awareness of different ways of thinking, helping them to understand the benefits of, for example: logical, divergent and creative thought; to understand that there is never only one answer to a question; and that there are several versions of a 'right' answer.

As a Community School, we encourage our students to become involved in a myriad of activities that involve our community. We also celebrate the diversity of our students and our curriculum engenders a sense of global mindedness with language forming an important and integral part of the GCS world.
