Debbane Group was established in 1952 as a single-family business in Lebanon. Since then, the group has diversified from agricultural and horticultural services to construction and landscaping; manufacturing of ready-mix concrete, insulation and fire proofing products; telecommunication and wireless data transmission services,

enterprise content management and web applications.

In Syria Debbane & Co. was established in 1976. Within its 65 staff members 30 are agronomists or engineers. The company has five branches including Homs, Damascus, Banias, Aleppo and Hassaka; as well as 4 experimental stations.

As of 2007, Debbane Group has become a conglomerate boasting 23 companies operating in the Arab region and North Africa.
