Writing a CV is a task easier said than done. Not only does this crucial document act as your boarding pass for future job opportunities, but many people know the acute pain of staring at a blank document for what feels like hours and being unsure of how to start. One of the most challenging parts of the CV to master is the ‘Career Objective’ section. Many people wind up going to their preferred search engine, grabbing and repurposing one of the many templates found online. This is troublesome, however, as most employers can spot an antiseptic, template-based career objective from a mile away.

So, how can you craft a killer career objective? What are the most important things to include? How can you make your career objective eye-grabbing without being hyperbolic or unprofessional? How long should a career objective be? A lot of these things become clear with time, revision and practice, but why wait that long?

In this episode of Bayt.com’s Career Talk, Bayt.com’s very own Hatem Hannoun tackles the problematic ‘career objective’ portion of your CV and gives you the 411 on writing a standout career objective.
