Employees are the backbone of every organization. From top management down to junior staff, SHARP makes sure that its people are valued for their productivity, contribution and effectiveness. As a Japanese company, we work on a carefully crafted culture that harnesses “sincerity and creativity” as its creed. Though we share one vision, we are very keen on increasing our team’s diversity, which eventually helps us realign with the company-wide goals in all regions.
SHARP believes in doing what is right for every stakeholder, including its employees. Our “sincerity and creativity” doctrine has helped us become recognized as an employer of choice with solid ambitions and room for growth. As our business grows, we ensure that employees can also grow with us in every way possible, and this is what helps us attract both local and international talent.
At SHARP, we realize that we are part of a competitive market. We always strive to hire people who will drive our products towards success. With our eyes set on rapid and sustainable growth, we are most definitely on our way towards becoming the unbeatable leader in the consumer electronics industry. If you want to join this engine of growth, we have plenty of opportunities for you to expand your expertise and grow your career.
Deciding on an appropriate pay scale for your employees is a very important task. Many HR managers do not give enough attention to this. Remember, what you pay is what you get, so ensure that you offer competitive packages. While this is a very important aspect, an environment of freedom and a culture of continuous improvement are also great ways to foster a dedicated team for your company.
I have far too many. However, I can say from my experience that, loving what you do creates proud moments, every time.
Crowdsourcing, referral schemes and ambassador hunting seem to be the up-and-coming trends and tools that will be used for hiring in the next few years. Traditional ways of hiring may disappear due to globalization and cost-cutting. As for training, positive ROIs in companies are proof that it contributes towards the development of talent, and eventually, the organization as a whole. However, I feel that more attention will be given towards analyzing and monitoring the necessity and effectiveness of training, in terms of its return to management.
