Bayt.com Survey: Employee Loyalty in the MENA

Employee loyalty is more than just retention; it is directly related to employee productivity, satisfaction, as well as commitment and worth ethics. How loyal are MENA employees to their current company? What can employers do to increase the loyalty among their employees? What about the top reasons for not feeling loyal towards the company across the MENA region?

Bayt.com has conducted a new survey titled “Employee Loyalty in the MENA” in order to shed light on what connects employees to their current organisations.

Key highlights:

  • 74% of MENA professionals agree that loyalty improves performance at work.
  • Basic salary (56%) is the top factor affecting employee loyalty in the MENA region.
  • Over 6 in 10 (61%) employees feel loyal to their current company.
  • 84% of employees feel highly engaged in their daily work.
  • Heavy workload at all times/ unequal distribution of work (57%) is the top perceived catalyst that can cause damage to employee’s loyalty.

Data for the 2022 Bayt.com Employee Loyalty in the MENA Survey was collected online from April 14 to May 12, 2022. Results are based on a sample of 3,166 respondents from countries including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, Palestine, Syria, Yemen, Egypt, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya and Sudan among others.
