Role Summary
Talabat's Bahrain Logistics team is looking for a Sr. Specialist in Health & Safety to lead initiatives that enhance rider safety and well-being. You'll be responsible for developing and implementing safety protocols, ensuring compliance, and promoting rider welfare. We value project management experience, analytical skills, team leadership, and exposure to diverse industries like IT, Tech, or Logistics. What’s On Your Plate?
Develop and implement SOPs to optimize rider safety and well-being, incorporating industry best practices.
Lead multiple rider safety projects, including the "Rider Academy," vehicle inspections, and other related initiatives.
Streamline the reporting process for rider accidents and ensure clear procedures for suppliers and riders.
Improve rider health and safety training materials, focusing on ergonomics, defensive driving, and specific workplace hazards.
Oversee and enhance the rider insurance process for better efficiency and coverage.
Nurture strong relationships with the Traffic Directorate and address safety complaints from stakeholders, implementing corrective actions as needed.
Analyze rider safety data trends and implement appropriate actions based on insights.
Maintain rider database integrity and train supplier trainers and patrollers on critical health and safety procedures.
What Did We Order?
A bachelor's degree in engineering with HSE certification or equivalent qualifications is preferred.
1-2 years of experience in Health and Safety, including protocol development and implementation.
Strong leadership skills with a proactive approach to risk assessment and mitigation.
Effective problem-solving abilities, with a focus on practical, actionable solutions.
Proficient in G-Suite and Microsoft Office.
Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic and Urdu is a plus.
