Bank ABC seeks to recruit a Retail Credit Manager in the Group Retail Department based in our Head Office in Bahrain.The Retail Credit Manager will be responsible to support the business units to grow retail credit portfolios by: Assisting in developing the MIS needed for monitoring the performance of the retail credit portfolios. Assisting in overseeing and reporting the retail portfolio performance through performance trends and EWI Supporting the retail credit portfolio management functions in the units. Performing quantitative credit analysis on the Bank's different retail asset portfolios.Assist in rolling out and implementing ORM requirements in retail unitsImplement technology and automation solutions to enhance credit processing and reportingResponsibilities of the role:Reporting to the Group Head Retail Banking, the job holder will:Assist to generate the necessary MIS that is required for portfolio tracking and monitoring.Assist in preparing loss forecast and ongoing monitoring of loss projections. Maintain effective communication with retail credit and business units.Assist in developing portfolio delinquency benchmarks, analyze portfolio delinquency and loss trends and compare to established benchmarks.Assist in Identifying opportunities by locating low risk segments Review and provide on feedback on credit criteria based on MI reviewed.Review test & learn program performance and provide recommendations.Ensure adherence to the CBB regulations, Group Policies and local country regulationsWork with local retail risk to review credit underwriting unit’s decisions by conducting regular sample checks on approved, rejected, and deviation cases to ensure their compliance to the set established policiesAssist in creating the necessary coding to facilitate tracking of different programs and activities to monitor the credit and financial viability of different programs with different risk profiles.Create a feedback loop to receive assessment and collections’ feedback with regards to the viability and appropriateness of MISAssist in maintaining and keep the MIS database and ensure sustained integrity. Assist in analyzing top rejection and cancellation reasons vis-à-vis the set policy to remove unnecessary process inefficiencies and bottlenecks.Support the implementation of retail credit projects including the LOS, Scorecards, collection system and ongoing enhancement.Responsible for the business administrator role for the collection system which requires management of collection MIS, implement, monitor and control collections strategies enhancement, etc.Areas of Knowledge, Qualification and Experience8 years in banking of which at least the last 4 years should be in a retail portfolio management role involving developing credit MIS reportsGraduate degree/MBA, preferably in Finance and or EconomicsCredit analysis skills.Sound knowledge of the banking processes.Excellent PC skills, with advanced Excel spreadsheet knowledge and good skills in other MS applications including e-mail messaging.Effective analytical skills. Excellent numerical and analytical skills are required to understand the underlying credit risks at both customer and portfolio level. Familiarity with consumer banking credit management, credit tools and techniques is essential as also is a sound knowledge of collection processes and systems. A working knowledge of credit scoring and management of scorecards to ensure continued validity and acceptable performance would be an advantage. Knowledge in all credit functions of credit operations, Credit cards, personal loans, instalment loans and other retail loans including collection practices and channels.Effective communication skills (written and verbal), proficiency of Arabic & French languages would be an advantage.Self-motivated and high level of numerical accuracy.Ability to manage numerous deliverables within strict time and resource constraints and an eye for detail. Solutions oriented and needs to be rational, pragmatic, discipled and methodical with strong interpersonal communication skills.
