Global Forwarding Freight – Bahrain has an opening for an OCC Specialist where you will develop and administer plans and processes as part of the OFR pricing & RFQ/tender management strategy to support the commercial strategy in line with business objectives, corporate guidelines and policies.  Join us now in connecting people and improving lives.

In this OCC Specialist position

• You will execute plans and processes to implement the OFR pricing strategy.
• You will respond to pricing enquiries in an efficient and competitive manner.
• You will ensure the timely monitoring and accurate updating of local tariffs.
• You will ensure RFQ development, particularly for high priority RFQs provide detailed guidance and for critical RFQs conduct launch calls.
• You will deliver day-to-day shipment documentation for freight forwarding, assist in development of tenders and ensure on-time submission on relevant documents.
• You will develop and maintain databases with specific information to enable quick responses to specific network queries.
• You will build and secure business relationships with customers and airlines.
• You will prepare carrier performance reports and reviews.
• You will identify opportunities to enhance services and processes to secure cost-effective and competitive prices and negotiate competitive rates with airline suppliers while meeting desired service specifications and transit time targets.
• You will understand recent developments of new solutions, services, lane and traffic development.
• You will provide support on issues and problems from less experienced/new team members, provide direction and guidance as needed.
• You will study and resolve issues in day-to-day delivery and implement practices for OFR pricing focusing on increasing effectiveness and efficiency.
• You will connect with and influence other specialist departments and 3rd parties e.g. external service providers.
• You may convince others to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches.
• You will build strong, trusting cross-functional relationships with DHL managers.
• You will understand customer and key stakeholders’ interests and concerns and advise direct reports, customers, and key stakeholders.
• You will provide technical guidance to line managers and employees.
• You will be an individual contributor who may manage two or fewer employees.
• You may direct the work of other lower-level professionals or manage processes and programs.
• You will coach and review the work of lower level professionals.

• 4 years’ experience or more
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/qualification
