talabat is the leading food and Q-commerce marketplace in Bahrain, delivering food, groceries & more to thousands of customers on a daily basis. We are currently seeking a new Managing Director of Bahrain to elevate the performance of the existing organisation and simplify its operating model, maximising synergies between functions and verticals.
As a senior member of the talabat Management team, you will represent the local voice to the regional leadership teams and be the ultimate owner of the full P&L on a strategic, tactical, and day-to-day level. This role reports into the Chief Business Officer (CBO) and will also work closely with other C-level executives at talabat to:
Shape a seamless, effective operating model, across all business verticals (food & Q-commerce)
Maximize synergies across teams, programs and verticals, and build a culture of growth
Define quarterly OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) and priorities for Bahrain team
Act as the key 'customer' for the Product and Technology organization, collaborating to set priorities and solve problems
You will have full ownership of the performance and P&L of Bahrain, which includes:
Designing and executing the strategy and business plan for talabat in Bahrain
Preparing and negotiating annual budgets, ensuring EBITDA targets are met on a monthly, quarterly & annual basis, and recommending additional investments if necessary
Leading a large, diverse team across multiple programs and verticals
Overseeing day-to-day operations in key functions such as logistics, marketing, sales, performance and partnerships, while representing the company in legal matters, public relations, communications, and government relations
Identifying and analyzing opportunities for accelerated growth across various programs and verticals
Leveraging data to drive decision making, whether to address day-to-day problems, or tackle long term opportunities
Launching local, regional, and global transformational programs, and driving continuous improvement initiatives that can scale globally
