KPMG's Audit and Advisory practice is one of the largest businesses worldwide and the major growth area for our organization. Our services are focused on the Finance Function and we work with clients in identifying and tackling their challenges in Growth, Governance, and Performance. This role requires the support of audit teams to review investment valuations, purchase price allocations on acquisitions, and goodwill impairment tests. Our Advisory teams also support businesses as they restructure and expand, whether organically or by acquisition.

Your responsibilities:

  • Lead and contribute to complex project management and program management initiatives.
  • The person should primarily be required to review the valuations of investments, which may be private equity or real estate, and assist audit teams to conclude on these valuations. The person should know various methodologies permitted for valuations as per IFRS and its impact on financial reporting.
  • Working in our multi-disciplined teams, you will apply your talents to various complex, demanding, and high-profile transactions from acquisitions and mergers to flotations and buy-outs.
  • Identification of key issues and carrying out the relevant financial analysis
  • To undertake smaller assignments or assist in larger assignments reporting to a Director or Partner, with their limited supervision
  • Preparation of good reports for documentation in the audit file, including review of sections compiled by other team members on the job
  • Management of and contribution to the development of junior staff, including timely and objective feedback on every job
  • Establishing credibility with clients/targets as a representative of KPMG
  • Maintaining business contacts at middle/senior levels (i.e. it is our expectation that managers will make a positive commitment to maintaining contact with people they meet on transactions, who may become important providers of work in the future)
  • To actively participate in compiling proposals/business development activities
  • To contribute to the effective working of the team and the development of team morale
  • Ensure that risk documentation is completed for all jobs on a timely basis as per the applicable T&R technical/risk management policies
  • To contribute to practice development initiatives, if possible, sales, people, solution development, etc.
