IT Architect Manager
Job Description
Job Objective
Design and manage the Organizational information architecture to effectively manage Organizational information and database systems and drive internal IT governance
Responsibilities
Strategic
• Assist the IT Team in preparing the strategy and the strategic initiatives for the Strategy & Architecture sub-function aligned to the IT Strategy
• Support in monitoring, tracking and reporting performance against strategic initiatives
Financial
• Assist the IT Team in preparing the budget for the department in collaboration with sub-function heads
• Support in monitoring and tracking adherence to the approved budget
Operational
• Perform all activities to design and maintain the Organizational information architecture to enable effective information management. Define the required information elements, the composite structure, logical relationships and constraints, taxonomy and derivation rules
• Define information access requirements and establish data custodianship to ensure data access control in collaboration with cyber-security team
• Make changes to content data architecture requirements to ensure implementation of best data management practices
• Liaise with the Lead IT, Legal team and business unit teams to define and maintain the enterprise information/data policies and standards, aligned to organizational policies and procedures
• Perform analysis and reporting of key KPIs for the IT department as per developed guidelines and annual plans
• Ensure continuous improvement of policies, processes, systems / structural programs and procedures covering all individual functional activities
• Provide relevant information to address employee queries related to IT strategy and architecture
• Actively provide required information to internal and external auditors within stipulated timelines. Coordinate with and resolve any audit related issues raised
• Serve as a subject matter expert in own work area / sub-function / function and provide guidance to team / peers and support in the achievement of operational targets
• Undertake initiatives to improve processes in assigned area of work
• Guide team / peers in meeting delivery timelines and performance expectations
• Ensure that team / peers adhere to company policies and legal regulations
People
• Take ownership for attending the trainings as per the plan
• Take ownership for completing PMS process, employee engagement surveys in time
• Continuously share the knowledge and understanding of the telecom industry and business trends
• Motivate and build a healthy work environment within the team. Provide support in resolving work related / other concerns in an effective manner
Skills
Qualifications & experience
Profile 1
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related fields
• Formal training relating to IS and/or appropriate business areas.
• 4-7 years of experience of the development life-cycle of systems in a commercial/financial/business environment, including hands-on experience in programming, systems analysis and design, data analysis and design, systems implementation and support.
Profile 2
• Master’s degree in information technology or related fields
• 3-6 years of experience of the development life-cycle of systems in a commercial/financial/business environment, including hands-on experience in programming, systems analysis and design, data analysis and design, systems implementation and support.
