Guest Laundry Valet

Guest Laundry Valet is responsible for providing efficient and courteous laundry services to hotel guests. This role involves collecting, processing, and delivering guests' laundry items promptly and ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction. A Laundry Valet plays a crucial role in ensuring that guests' laundry needs are met promptly and with a high level of care. This role requires a customer-focused attitude, attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to uphold cleanliness and hygiene standards. The Laundry Valet contributes to the overall guest experience by providing efficient and courteous laundry services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Laundry collection and processing – Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner when collecting laundry items from guest rooms. Sort and label laundry items according to established procedures. Check for stains damage or special care instructions on items before processing.
• Laundry Handling and Equipment operations – Operate Laundry equipment, including washing machines and dryers, following guidelines to ensure proper cleaning and drying. Use appropriate detergents and chemicals as needed for different fabrics. Handle laundry items carefully to prevent damage or shrinkage.
• Efficient Workflow - Prioritize laundry items based on guest requests and delivery times. Organize the laundry room and work area to maintain an efficient workflow.
• Guest Interaction- Provide excellent customer service to guests, addressing any concerns or questions. Communicate laundry procedures and turnaround times clearly to guests.
• Inventory Management - Maintain an organized inventory of clean and processed laundry items. Restock laundry supplies and report low inventory levels to the Laundry Supervisor.
• Quality Control - Inspect laundered items for quality and ensure they meet cleanliness standards. Address any stains or issues before delivering items to guests.
• Delivery and Presentation - Deliver clean and pressed laundry items to guest rooms in a timely and presentable manner. Pay attention to detail when folding and arranging items.
• Safety and Hygiene - Adhere to safety and hygiene protocols, including using personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Report any safety hazards or concerns to the supervisor.

• Education, and expertise - High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 6 months to 1 year experience in similar role.
• Technical Skills - Prior experience in handling guest service laundry or laundry operations. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods. Should have a knowledge of overall laundry operation.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects –Physical ability to perform the essential functions of the job, including lifting heavy loads and standing for extended periods.
