Reporting to Head of Actuarial, M.E, as Actuarial Analyst, you are expected to act under direct instruction, performing actuarial duties in order to provide highly accurate data and analyses for use by senior actuaries in relation to reserving, reporting, quantitative risk management or the pricing of business.
This role will be based Bahrain office.
Job Accountabilities
As Actuarial Analyst, your role will involve:
- Provide basic actuarial services under direct instruction of a more experienced actuary.
- Perform statistical analyses, model, and analyze data and develop models and programs for model building and analyses; interpret results of models and analyses.
- Compile and categorize data and document and verify factors and assumptions used in computations to ensure robust output.
- Assist in the development of risk-based capital models as well as parameterization and allocation activities to support actuarial services.
- Participate in the evaluation and review of new and proposed processes and systems.
- Demonstrate increasing knowledge of actuarial disciplines and procedures to build value adding, relevant technical knowledge.
- Work with actuarial colleagues to develop understanding of company operations, business objectives and actuarial methodologies.
- Actively pursue local actuarial qualification.
Job Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor’s Degree or pursuing actuarial qualification in a recognized actuarial body.
- Studying towards an actuarial qualification/attained a number of actuarial exams.
- Excellent data visualization skills (e.g. creating charts, graphs, and dashboard style reports), using Excel, Access, R, PowerBI software.
- Ability to automate reporting tasks.
- Knowledge of SAP & Salesforce would be advantageous.
- High level of numeric ability to understand, evaluate and interpret data and to analyze business impacts.
- Proactive and positive attitude
- Competent at prioritizing, resourcing, and planning
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills.
