• Manage and implement reliability framework as per DPW standards & requirements.
• Manage failure reporting and corrective action system (FRACAS) information and keep updated information for analysis.
• Carry out Studies & Root Cause Analysis (using various Techniques) to investigate & identify root causes of any failures and recommend solutions.
• Review & analyze shift, weekly and monthly reports to eliminate repetitive failures and develop engineering solutions to counter repetitive failures and problems that adversely affect equipment functions.
• Manage the Predictive Maintenance (PdM) Program in the BU, consolidating inspection information and generating visualization of results.
• Manage tools, PdM devices in good condition & its calibration, perform functional tests on regular basis, prepare and coordinate tools/ devices to be sent to manufacturer/ laboratory for calibration.
• Coordinate & support for the implementation of correct preventive maintenance (PM) tasks.
• Development and control of periodic revisions of the risk matrixes for all sections of engineering services.
• Employ data analysis techniques such as statistical analysis, reliability, availability, maintainability, fault tree analysis & weibull etc.
• Communicate safety alerts and risks highlighted by manufacturers to staff.
• Defining and implementing policies, processes, and tools to ensure continuous improvement of business unit equipment reliability by gathering reliability data and correlating this data into useful information.
• Estimates engineering personnel needs, coordinates, and supervises the use of other engineers and technicians to accomplish the objective of cost-effective reliability improvements for projects.
• Evaluates criticality assessment, equipment strategies and risk assessments on equipment to ensure consistency and compliance with company procedures and policies.
• Updates the criticality analysis of terminal equipment as required for terminal expansion.
• Provide technical support and reliability input into Preventative Maintenance Optimization (PMO).
• Assemble and distribute / communicate information on equipment condition and reliability performance helping to grow reliability awareness.
• Communicate bad actor / reliability issues / updates through local team meetings and notice boards.
• Take part in Reliability Community of Practice (CoP) through regular conference calls with peers and Global Reliability Engineering.
Job Context :
Internal Reporting: Generate, manage, and update the Equipment Asset Health. Manage and generate failure analysis reports (FRACAS methodology). Generate report for Root Cause Analysis studies performed based on the engineering risk matrix.
Budgets: Provide inputs to the budget discussions in terms of actions or recommendations to enhance equipment reliability, maintainability, and availability. Prepare cost-benefit and ROI analysis for reliability related recommendations.
Independent Research: Remain open to new ideas, change, strategies and methods of working practices and problem solving. Investigate/adopt new technologies to generate reliability enhancement for DP World equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
• BS Degree (Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Industrial Engineering) or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 Years experience in the equipment reliability, failure analysis & solutions.
• Extensive experience with the following techniques and strategies: reliability centered maintenance (RCM), statistical analysis techniques, criticality analysis, and benchmarking.
• Experience leading Root Cause Analysis. Familiar with multiple methods of RCA; selects the right tool for the event; 5 Why, Ishikawa, Fault Tree, PROACT.
• In-depth knowledge of condition monitoring techniques, including vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, and ultrasound.
• Comprehensive knowledge and experience in Port industry.
• The candidate must possess effective analytical problem-solving skills, the ability to perform detail-oriented work with a high degree of accuracy, be able to learn and work with Reliability specific software tools.
• Experience interpreting and applying industry standards (ISO, BSI, ASME, etc.)
• Ability to communicate and make formal presentations in English.
• Certifications such as Certified Reliability Leader (CRL) or Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) are preferable.
