Job Description:

Purpose of the position

• Manage and optimize portfolio of Ipsen presence in Africa through partners.
•  including but not limited to alliance processes, governance procedures, alliance analysis frameworks, metrics, reporting, organizational training and external promotion of alliance practices to manage more proactively and strategically alliance relationships    
• Responsible for the overall execution of alliance under direction and guidance of General Manager Ensure partnership strategy and operations are aligned with Ipsen’s overall corporate strategy and Work towards establishing Ipsen as partner-of-choice through a solution-based and relationship-focused alliance management aimed at achieving mutually beneficial outcomes.

Main responsibilities / job expectations

• strategic alliance performance monitoring and planning including:
• (a) Monitoring partners’ performance/Operations (on sales and costs, development progress) in coordination with finance & General Manager
• (b) Planning/Monitoring Ipsen’s contractual obligations (financial and others)
• Assess management risk posed by potential partner and alliance; advise on governance structure, alignment of decision rights with resource contributions and other elements of the agreement that impact operations.
• Drive the goals of the collaboration and manage the long-term relationships between Ipsen and their partners through all phases of the alliance lifecycle.
• Ensure execution of contract and that contractual obligations are met
• Proactively manage the alliances, act as the key-interface with respect to the management of the legal and contractual framework established for the alliances.
• Lead in resolving business-related conflicts and in issues requiring consensus; focus on shortening the time to issue resolution with the partners
• If needed, escalate to management according to the agreed escalation process in a timely manner
• Ensure proper governance of the alliance by organizing and coordinating the joint steering committees, facilitate the meetings and follow-up and drive completion of any decisions, actions, and issues.
• Lead and manage internal cross functional teams to support partners.
• Ensure all functions within the organisation understand their obligations and responsibilities under the contract, including working with legal to prepare briefing documents as necessary.
• Track, communicate and manage key milestones to ensure compliance, using appropriate tracker.
• Perform regular check-ups of the alliance monitoring and actif participations in Audits.
• Lead contract renegotiations and amendments and if necessary, termination
• Analyse situation and identify opportunities for expansion: Geographical products expansions.

PMO North Africa

Coordinate cross-functional teams within the company to ensure good execution for the strategic projects.

• Launchs in North Africa
• Registration of Ipsen products in NA
• Localization of Ipsen Products in Algeria

         Monitor project timelines, deliverables, and budgets to ensure successful execution of collaborative projects:

• Budgets and forecast exercise’s.
• Leadership Team Governance
• Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on market analysis and competitive intelligence.

Expérience / Qualifications

Education / Certifications / Experience :

• Higher scientific education (Physician, Pharmacist or Veterinarian)
• At least 2 to 3 years' experience as a Product Manager in a pharmaceutical company, preferably with hospital products or an oncology range,
• Excellent knowledge of the pharmaceutical environment, the market and marketing procedures.
• A degree or training in marketing would be an advantage.
