Job Description

A leading travel company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance and Accounts Executive to join their team. The ideal candidate should have experience in the travel industry and be familiar with IATA and BSP. Additionally, they should have knowledge of TRAACS Accounting Software. The Finance and Accounts Executive should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance and should be either part-qualified or fully qualified in a professional certification such as CA, CPA, CMA, or ACCA.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage all financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
  2. Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in accordance with established policies and procedures
  3. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  4. Manage and reconcile travel agent commission payments
  5. Monitor and control expenses and analyze variances
  6. Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision-making
  7. Coordinate with external auditors during the audit process
  8. Ensure compliance with IATA and BSP regulations
  9. Maintain financial records and documentation

Preferred Candidate:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or a related field
  2. Minimum 4 years of experience in GCC countries
  3. Part-qualified or fully qualified in a professional certification such as CA, CPA, CMA, or ACCA
  4. Experience in the travel industry, specifically with knowledge of IATA and BSP
  5. Proficiency in TRAACS Accounting Software would be an advantage.
  6. Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance and accounting roles
  7. Strong knowledge of financial principles, practices, and regulations
  8. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  9. Attention to detail and accuracy
  10. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  11. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
