Job Description

Qatar Airways (QR) have embarked on an exciting transformation journey to change how we interact with our customers. As part of this journey, we are now recruiting for the role of Marketing Officer- Africa.


Based in Doha, Qatar, you will assist in the planning, development and execution of all marketing activities for Africa.  You will be responsible for guaranteeing the correct communication, image and exposure of Qatar Airways according to the company requirements.      


Specific Accountabilities include:


  • Support Marketing Manager/Marketing Specialist with the annual marketing plan within the assigned budget to meet revenue objectives and KPI targets
  • Support in the development of target-oriented B2B and B2C campaigns based on specific customer segmentation and market intelligence.
  • Assist the wider Regional Marketing, Digital and Loyalty teams in the development and amplification of Africa campaigns to achieve campaign targets.
  • Ensure ongoing measurement and optimization of all marketing budget spend to ensure objectives are being met.
  • Observe and comply with all procurement, finance and contractual policies and procedures to ensure the region is compliant with company requirements.
  • Maintain brand, messaging, style and tone consistency in all marketing artwork and messaging
  • Assist to deliver events and exhibitions to the required QR standard.
  • Ensure post activity and campaign evaluations are produced, identifying effectiveness of activity and quantitative ROI.
  • Leverage local sponsorships and partnerships (Airports and Tourism Boards) to drive awareness and revenue in the market
Qualifications

The successful person will have:


  • Ideally, a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or a relevant field with at least 4 years marketing generalist experience, ideally within the Aviation/travel industry.
  • Excellent knowledge of Word/ PowerPoint/ Excel.
  • The ability to prioritize, organize and coordinate projects; effectively present and resolve critical business initiatives within corporate functional areas.
  • Strong commercial acumen 
  • Team player with a positive attitude
