JD for the post – Sr. Mechanical Engineer 

Job Title:Sr. Engineer

Location:Kolkata

Primary Job Responsibilities:

·Graduate Mechanical engineers with 20 to 25 years of experience in Mechanical Department of a consultancy organization and/or technical services department of a Metal / Mineral / Chemical Processing plant.

·Capable to mentor, lead and guide a group of Mechanical Engineers & Designers and able to take decision independently.

·Capable to work independently and should have worked as Lead Engineer in at least 4-5 projects with a mechanical team of 6-8 people.

·Capable to handle large or medium scale project and responsible for technical and resources planning as well as keep tab on budget, quality and schedule.

·Hands on Basic & Detailed Engineering Experience consisting of Bulk Material Handling & Conveyors for Australian / European / Overseas projects.

·Knowledge of Conveyor Power Calculation as per ISO/ CEMA/ DIN / IS, Selection of Belt width, Belt Speed, Selection of Conveyor Component etc.

·Knowledge with Pipe conveyor / Long distance conveyor / finite element analysis will be an added advantage

·In depth knowledge and capable for preparation of Technical Specification, Tender Bid Evaluation and review of Vendor drawings / document independently for Mineral Beneficiation Equipment like, Mills, Cyclone, Floatation Cell, Sizers, Thickener, Filter Press etc. including Material Handling Equipment, Pumps, Compressors.

·Good Knowledge of Material Science and should be conversant with national, international codes and standards, like ASME / API / BS / EN etc.

·Supporting discipline functional activities e.g. training, recruiting, providing technical solutions across projects etc

·Knowledge of various 3D review software platform.

·Orientation to working in workshare environments with overseas office.

·Understanding of Project requirements like productivity/ schedule workhour control etc.

·Capable of interacting with all stakeholders including Inter discipline, client and vendors.

·Good communication skills, verbal and written so as to communicate with client and lead offices.

Qualifications-External

·A degree in Mechanical engineering from a reputed university.

·Total 20 to 25 years of experience in Engineering and Design, preferably with engineering consultants/contractors or from client's side.

·Good Presentation Skills.

·Good spoken and written English language skills, communication skills and interpersonal skills.

·Mention any professional affiliations/certifications.

·Should be open for short travel and deputation to sites/Overseas Offices where required.

·Mention near term mobility readiness.
