About the job DOCUMENT CONTROLLER - ACONEX
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
As a Document Controller specializing in Aconex for building projects you will be responsible for managing the flow of project documentation, drawings, and communications through the Aconex platform. You will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and accessibility of project information, facilitating collaboration among project stakeholders, and supporting the successful delivery of building projects.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Administer the Aconex document control system to upload, distribute, and track project documents, drawings, specifications, and correspondence in compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Organize and maintain electronic filing systems, document registers, and metadata attributes to facilitate efficient document retrieval, version control, and record-keeping.
- Coordinate document review, approval, and distribution workflows using Aconex workflows and transmittals, ensuring that documents are routed to the appropriate stakeholders for timely action and response.
- Monitor and track the status of document submissions, revisions, and approvals, and follow up with project team members to expedite workflow processes as needed.
- Facilitate communication among project stakeholders by managing Aconex mail, notifications, and distribution lists, and ensuring that project-related communications are documented, archived, and accessible as required.
- Serve as a central point of contact for inquiries, requests, and technical support related to the Aconex platform, providing guidance and training to project team members as needed.
- Perform regular audits and reviews of project documentation stored in Aconex to verify compliance with project standards, contractual requirements, and regulatory obligations.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies, inconsistencies, and non-conformities in document metadata, formatting, and content, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Candidates MUST be immediately available and currently based in the UAE
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Information Management, or related field.
- years of experience in document control, preferably in the construction industry with a focus on building projects.
- Proficiency in using Aconex or similar document management systems/software for construction projects.
- Strong understanding of document control principles, practices, and procedures, including version control, metadata management, and document lifecycle management.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment and interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Familiarity with building codes, standards, and regulations related to construction documentation and information management.
